Positive in-vitro study of a homeopathic product on HSV, RSV and Influenza Type A Viruses (Nov. 2001 – Komplementarmedizin – Naturheilkunde, 2001, 8: 207-212 (IAH) – Antiviral action of Homeopathic Medication)

The homeopathic complex product called Euphorbium Compositum has been tested in this in-vitro study of Metelmann and Glatthaar-Sallmuller. Three groups of plaques were created with cultured test cells. The first was infected with the virus and was added the homeopathic substance. The second was infected as well but a saline solution was added (placebo), and the third one was a negative control (saline solution only). The inhibition on the proliferation was positive for the homeopathic preparation, at 35% for the HSV-1 virus, 35% for the RSV virus and 15% for Influenza Type A virus.
