Tinnitus and Homeopathy

Tinnitus is the technical term for “continual noise in the ear”. From the perspective of conventional medicine, it is considered incurable. It is widely believed to be caused by a poor blood circulation in the inner ear.

However, from a holistic point of view, if we let the body heal, well, it heals… by experience, I would ask a client who needs help for tinnitus about their medical history. The primary focuses would be on a possible history of ear infection, or an over-use of conventional medications. Indeed, aspirin and antibiotics are known to cause hearing problems.

If this has failed, only then would improving blood circulation be considered. Herbal therapies can be of great help here. Finally, other possible causes may need to be investigated, such as exposure to excessive noise, lead poisoning, dental operations and a history of ear pressure accidents (“baro-trauma”, such as when scuba-diving).

As well as other holistic therapies, homeopathy can help re-balance this part of the body pretty quickly, and if required, herbal support can also help with improving the blood flow.
